Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By registering for or using EdCo ("Service"), you ("School" or "Customer") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you are registering on behalf of a school or organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of service

EdCo provides a cloud-based school fee management platform that enables schools to generate fee vouchers, collect payments (via 1Bill, 1Link, and other channels), send automated notifications to parents and guardians, and generate reports. The specific features available depend on the plan contracted by the School.

3. Account registration and security

  • You must provide accurate and complete information during registration and keep it up to date.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your admin credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
  • You must notify EdCo immediately via our contact form or by calling (03) 111-222-453 if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
  • EdCo recommends enabling two-factor authentication for all admin accounts.

4. Your responsibilities

By using EdCo, you agree to:

  • Use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
  • Ensure that all student and guardian data entered into the platform has been collected with appropriate consent in compliance with applicable Pakistani law.
  • Not use the Service to send unsolicited communications, spam, or harass parents or students.
  • Not attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or circumvent any part of the platform.
  • Not share admin credentials with unauthorised personnel.
  • Ensure the accuracy of student records and fee data entered into the system.

5. Payment and billing

  • Pricing is agreed upon at the time of onboarding and communicated in writing.
  • EdCo reserves the right to change pricing with 30 days' written notice. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
  • Payment for EdCo's subscription fees is due as specified in your service agreement.
  • Late payment may result in suspension of the Service after a written notice period.

6. Data ownership and privacy

  • The School retains ownership of all data it enters into EdCo, including student records and financial data.
  • EdCo acts as a data processor on behalf of the School for the purpose of delivering the Service.
  • EdCo's collection and use of data is governed by the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
  • EdCo will not sell, licence, or share the School's data with third parties except as described in the Privacy Policy.

7. Intellectual property

The EdCo platform, including all software, designs, trademarks, and content, is owned by EdCo and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service during your subscription. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the platform.

8. Availability and maintenance

  • EdCo aims to maintain 99.5% uptime but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
  • Planned maintenance will be communicated in advance where possible.
  • EdCo is not liable for downtime caused by third-party services (payment gateways, WhatsApp API, cloud infrastructure).

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, EdCo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. EdCo's total liability for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the fees paid by you in the 3 months preceding the claim.

EdCo is not liable for payment failures or delays caused by 1Bill, 1Link, banking infrastructure, or any third-party payment processor.

10. Termination

  • Either party may terminate the Service with 30 days' written notice.
  • EdCo may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you materially breach these Terms, fail to make payment after notice, or engage in activity that endangers the security or integrity of the platform.
  • Upon termination, your data will be available for export for 30 days before permanent deletion.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Pakistan.
